Meet Bishop Gabriel Calderon
Pastor Gabriel Calderon was baptized at the age of fourteen in 1988, and a year later was filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. Since his baptism, he felt the call to ministry and was ordained to ministry at the age of twenty-one. In 2003, they sold their home in Sunnyside, WA and, together with his family, they planted New Life Family Center in Olympia, WA. They served there for sixteen years. In 2019, he moved back to Sunnyside, WA and was installed as the pastor of New Hope Church.
Pastor Calderon has served in many different leadership positions including: district youth secretary, vice-president, and president; District Treasurer, and most recent as Bishop Supervisor of the Washington State District from 2015-2023.
During the COVID pandemic, Pastor Calderon took advantage of the state guidelines for reopening churches and began an all-English ministry at New Hope Church. Their first English service during the pandemic had about 7 attendees. This did not hinder the vision to see more people attend this new ministry. The Lord is rewarding his determination. On the first Friendship Day of 2024, there was a total of 169 attendees in the English service.
As of January 2025, Pastor Calderon has been pastoring in National City, CA. God continues to move in a special way, and the English ministry is growing there as well. To God all the honor and the glory!
